The Early Years
Moving to Canada from England
Corinda Chandler was born "Corinda Maitland-Davies" in Manchester, England, the daughter of an English physician and a Finnish nurse. When she was five years old, Cori and her family immigrated to lnnisfail, Alberta, just north of Calgary. In her early school years, Corinda never really felt she fit in; however, she sang at church, learned to play the piano and flute, and danced ballet.
Corinda knew as a youngster that music would be a major part of her life. "l sang my first solo at six years old, and from that point on, singing consumed my life. As I grew, it became a natural passion to express myself through my voice."
